How to Create a New Entity or Topic
Search First

From the Data menu at the top of the page, select New Entity.Name Your Entity or Topic
For corporate entities: Use the most commonly recognized name, including any key identifiers such as "plc," "Inc.," or regional distinctions if needed.
For topics: Choose a clear, specific name that uniquely identifies the subject you wish to track.
4. Review and Edit the Autogenerated Description
PolecatX will create a draft description for you.
Make sure it accurately describes the entity or topic, particularly if it is niche, emerging, or strategic in nature. A strong description improves the relevance of your insights.
5. (Optional) Add a Relevant URL
If appropriate, add an official website link for added context.
6. Submit and add it to your session
Once submitted, your entity will be created immediately for use within your session.
Visibility and Sharing
Initially, the new entity will only be visible to you.
You can share your session with colleagues to allow them to access insights relating to the new entity.
If you would like the entity to be available to your wider organization by default, please contact your Polecat Account Manager.
(Entities not of a sensitive nature can often be made available more broadly upon request.)
